Welcome to LaMa Animal Rescue & Support Services
Not Just a Bandage: LaMa is Building Hope and Change That Lasts
Across Northwest Louisiana, the need never stops — animals are abandoned, families lack access to care, and rescues are stretched beyond capacity.
LaMa Animal Rescue & Support Services saves lives today while working to end the cycle tomorrow. Through education, prevention, and community outreach, we’re addressing the root causes of neglect and overpopulation — creating a future where rescue is the exception, not the only answer.
Because real change doesn’t just respond to crisis — it prevents it from happening in the first place.

Our Mission:
LaMa Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing animal welfare in Northwest Louisiana through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and community partnership.
Our mission is to reduce suffering, promote responsible pet ownership, and build a sustainable future where every animal has access to care and compassion.
-

Crisis & Urgency
Every day, LaMa faces the heartbreaking reality of abandoned, neglected, and forgotten animals across Northwest Louisiana. With no state funding and more calls than resources, every rescue is a race against time — to make space, raise funds, and save one more life.
-

Impact & Wins
Behind every rescue is a story of transformation — dogs once scared and sick now thriving in loving homes. Since 2019, LaMa has saved over 2,000 animals through community compassion, medical care, and a network that never gives up.
-

Rescue in Motion: Our Rescue Efforts
From the moment we get the call to the moment an animal finds a home, LaMa’s work is rescue in motion.
Our shelter, fosters, and transport network move animals from crisis to comfort — and from survival to safety.Since 2019, LaMa has saved more than 2,000 lives through rescue, care, and partnership.
-

Education & Prevention — Not Just a Bandage
We’re breaking the cycle by addressing the why behind the crisis: limited access to vet care, lack of affordable spay/neuter, and a need for compassionate education.
LaMa hosts vaccination and food assistance programs, teaches responsible pet care in local schools, and is actively seeking grants to build an on-site low-cost clinic — one that will serve both animals and families in our community.
Because real change starts before the rescue van leaves the driveway.
-

Community & Partnerships
Rescue only works when people come together. From local fosters and small businesses to northern rescue partners, every hand that helps LaMa makes compassion contagious.
Together, we’re building a bridge between Louisiana and the Northeast — and a stronger foundation for animals everywhere.
