Transport As a Lifeline

Transport is a vital part of our mission. With the help of pre-approved rescue partners in the Northeast, LaMa animals move from crisis to safety and into loving homes. While we actively work to create lasting change here in Northwest Louisiana through community programs, education, and access to resources, transport remains essential to our lifesaving mission. For so many dogs, it’s the difference between survival and a second chance.

How It Works:

  • Preparation: Medical care, vaccinations, and health certificates

  • Quarantine: Safety protocols before travel and upon arrival

  • Placement: Partner rescues finalize adoption with approved families

Each transport represents a fresh start — a chance for animals who have endured neglect or abandonment to finally experience safety and love.

Thank you to our rescue partners, volunteer transporters, and fosters who meet transport at all hours to make these lifesaving journeys possible. Since 2019, more than 2,000 animals have found safety through this pipeline.

Help Turn a Rescue Story Into a New Beginning
Every transport represents a life saved — a dog leaving behind hardship and stepping toward safety. Sponsorships make that journey possible, funding fuel, medical clearances, and the care needed along the way. When you sponsor a transport, you’re part of that story — the moment fear turns into freedom.

Be Part of the Journey That Saves Lives
Transport volunteers make rescue possible. They help load dogs, provide comfort during travel, and hand them off safely to partner rescues waiting up north. Each trip is a team effort — a network of compassion that spans hundreds of miles and changes countless lives. Whether you can drive a leg, help coordinate, or simply show up on transport day, your time truly saves lives.
